Hey, it's me!
When I was a kid, I carried a plastic yellow 110mm camera around with me and I've been shooting ever since.
I'd ride my bike to K-Mart to drop my film off for developing. K-Mart had Kodak and even as a kid, I knew that Kodak's warm glow was the closest match to how I saw the world. I'd pull back the sticky flap, fingers crossed, and find a flower or a bug or my friend's face. It was all so exciting, so suspenseful, the waiting and hoping and dreaming of what might come from a quick click of the shutter. Eventually, I graduated to using a vintage manual Minolta and learned how to navigate different lenses and the dark room.
In the summer of 2019, I launched Helen Pace Photography and am now in my 6th year of shooting professionally. In 2020,  I placed several times in the international Shoot & Share competition, which is judged by the general public, including Top 10% for multiple images. I was also featured in the 2021 edition of NC Wedding Magazine in three separate articles. In March of 2023, I achieved the designation of Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America. I am now one of only three CPPs in all of Western North Carolina.
I was born & raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina & am raising two brilliant daughters outside Hendersonville, NC, near Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. I offer both photography and videography services for weddings, families, headshots, portraits, and even pets.
TLDR: I shoot with two mirrorless Nikon bodies, am fully obsessed with golden hour light, rich film-like color, and ridiculously sharp photographs. 😉
